The Peterborough Petes, in association with the Canadian Cancer Society Peterborough & District Unit, are excited to announce that $72,923 was raised in the sixth annual Pink in the Rink campaign. The 2015 Pink in the Rink campaign featured Dan O’Toole as the honourary co-chair. The world-renowned sports anchor and Peterborough native raised $6,895 on his fundraising webpage. Preceding the Petes’ 6-3 win against the Windsor Spitfires Saturday night (February 7th), O’Toole spoke during an emotional pre-game ceremony which included Anita Blackbourn, local mother of two who is battling stage four breast cancer.
