Explore the new Miskin Law Community Complex, enjoy free public skating, try the new indoor walking track, and join a free yoga program during the facility’s official opening on Wednesday, January 15, 2025.

The Miskin Law Community Complex will officially open its doors with the grand opening celebration and ribbon cutting at 1 p.m., followed by programming that welcomes the community to explore the new facility.

The grand opening will include the unveiling of a new Indigenous public art installation and the Mayor’s First Skate event for residents to get on the ice at the Miskin Law Community Complex. 

• 1 p.m. - Grand opening ceremony

• 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. - Guided tours of the new facility

• 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. - Mayor’s Skate – free public skating

• 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. - Free yoga class

• 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Free community public skate sponsored by Miskin Law

The new Complex will create spaces for the community with multi-purpose spaces, an indoor walking track, a twin-pad arena, and a new Peterborough Public Library branch. The official opening of the new Peterborough Public Library branch that will be located inside the Miskin Law Community Complex will take place at a future date.
