Girls Night!
This social night for Girls on the spectrum is a fun get together! For children aged 8-11 and 12-18 to get together, share information about each other, and participate in a variety of fun games and activities. There will be large group activities, as well as small group activities based on age for girls only!
Stay tuned for a Girls Group being offered through our Autism Services department in the new year! Social skills, anxiety, bullying, internet safety, self-advocacy, peer pressure, hygiene, healthy relationships, executive functioning and self-esteem will be topics of interest for the teenage girls.
Since this workshop is funded by the Ontario Autism Program (OAP) as a Foundational Family Service, examples provided during the workshop will tend to focus on children with a diagnosis of autism.
