Will you be a PAWlympic flame carrier for animals in need? Join us as we get active for the over 1,600 animals that enter our shelter each year by signing up for the PTBO PAWlympics a virtual fundraising challenge in support of the Peterborough Humane Society.
During the month of September, we are challenging YOU and ALL animal lovers to get active and raise funds in the name of animal welfare. This virtual event is an online substitute for our popular annual walk, Strutt Your Mutt.
For this challenge you will set an activity goal for you and your pet to achieve over a 30-day period. From September 1 to September 30th, participants will work to achieve their walking goal of 75, 100, 150, or 200 kilometers all while exploring our beautiful city and having fun with your pet. The PTBO PAWlympics is an online substitute for our popular annual walk, Strutt Your Mutt.
You will set your goal upon sign up and will receive a media package with all event details, suggested routes and landmarks to visit and tips to assist with your fundraising efforts. We’ll also be sending participants fun weekly experiences to share with your pet from our team and local change-makers. Let us share on your journey by taking photos and videos on your walks and at the experiences, and post them online to challenge your friends, family and colleagues to donate towards your efforts.
