The Peterborough Architectural Conservation Advisory Committee has launched its annual Heritage Hunt contest. Small groups and individuals are encouraged to test their knowledge of Peterborough’s architecture for a chance to win great prizes. The contest consists of identifying 34 architectural details on buildings in a defined area of the city. All details are visible from the sidewalk and both sides of the street are in play.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, please ensure you follow all Public Health recommendations on physical distancing.
A mobile-friendly online fillable form and printable PDF including a map of the Heritage Hunt area where all the architectural details can be found is available on the City’s website at www.peterborough.ca/heritagehunt. A print version of the Heritage Hunt will be in Peterborough This Week on Thursday, July 23, 2020.
Prizes will be awarded in both individual and group categories for the correct identification of the most architectural elements on the clue sheet. This year’s prizes will feature items from the great offerings of local downtown businesses.
Completed answer sheets should be emailed to heritage@peteborough.ca by Monday, August 31, 2020 at 4:30 pm.
