Local Man Arrested After Allegedly Making Multiple Bomb Threats to Boston; Including Children's Hospital

A 42-yead old Peterborough man, Joshua Kimble has been arrested for allegedly sending multiple bomb threats to several areas of Boston announced on Monday.

The investigation was between the Boston Police Department, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Division, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office and the Peterborough Police Service.

Since Sept. 9, a series of bomb threats were sent online to Boston Children’s Hospital. Over the next four days, subsequent threats were made at the Prudential Center, the Orpheum Theater, Massachusetts General Hospital and the Boston Public Library.

Peterborough Police Investigators were granted an arrest and search warrant for Kimble and his residence.

Kimble was arrested on Sept. 26 was placed under arrest. He is in custody awaiting trial in Canada.

Kimble is charged in Canada with:

  • 12 counts of Public Mischief

  • 12 counts of False Information

  • Failing to Comply with a Probation Order
