As a 25-year-old (in 2003), Tamer acquired his real estate license and set off to make a name for himself in the industry. The hustle and networking skills he had developed working downtown kicked in and he completed his first deal soon after.
As a young agent, in the beginning he admittedly was a little distracted, and not as far-sighted as he should have been. While much of the office was supportive and encouraging in the early years, he wondered if this sector was really for him on many occasions when business slowed down.
However, in 2007 his focus changed. For what seemed like the first time, he began seeing the business as a long-term investment for both himself and his clients. No longer was he thinking about making a single sale, but rather, ensuring that each client was truly satisfied with the purchase or sale of their home.
He saw fellow agents who found success thinking long-term and wanted to emulate that. He worked on carrying himself more professionally, making real connections and building lifelong clients who knew he had their best interests at heart. As he began to evolve as an agent, certain colleagues and mentors helped instill confidence in him that has remained part of his positive outlook to this day.
