In 2008, Robert Gauvreau saw an opportunity to make a difference in Peterborough and seized the moment.

The Peterborough-bred, Trent University Alumnus had furthered his education with a Masters in Management and Professional Accounting from U of T and had just completed his CPA designation. He had started a family in town and wanted to set up shop. So that year, he did just that which is when Gauvreau & Associates was born.

Robert Gauvreau has a passion for business, entrepreneurs and community.

Robert's goals originally were quite simple:

1. To provide the highest quality of financial reporting and taxation services
2. To provide a proactive approach to accounting and taxation planning
3. To provide the highest level of client service

As accounting firms are nothing new to our community, Robert knew it was necessary to stand out in the crowd. He set out to do exactly that.

As necessary evils of the job, Gauvreau & Associates deal with a lot of accounting and taxation situations. With some firms, this can be a vast majority of where their concentration lies, but Robert looks at things a bit differently. He and his colleagues focus on adding value to their clients through services such as:

In 2008, the firm began with Robert, one full-time employee and one part-time employee. Now, just eight years later, the firm includes himself and 9 full-time employees, and a clientele of entrepreneurs that other accountants would strive to work with.

As they began offering the above mentioned services and built lasting relationships with their clients, Gauvreau & Associates facilitated the success of their clients, and as a result, they have continued to grow and succeed alongside them!

Robert Gauvreau’s ties run deep in the community, where he volunteers a lot of his free time. He understands that giving back with his talents is a way to help foster the growth of both individuals and organizations/groups who can then do the same. A circle of life if you will.
