Guinness World Record Attempt For Most Dogs Wearing Bandanas At Viamede Resort

Rescue group Golden Rescue—which finds homes for abandoned, unwanted or displaced Golden Retrievers—is hosting a big event September 18th at Viamede Resort near Peterborough to raise awareness about the efforts of dog rescue groups.

The Canadian volunteer organization will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the most dogs wearing bandanas.

It's a record they first broke in 2014 with 364 dogs wearing bandanas, but a group in Australia set the new record earlier this year with 764 dogs. Now, Golden Rescue is trying to get their title back, and are hoping for 1,000 dogs wearing bandanas.

The world record attempt takes place September 18th at Viamede Resort from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m., and all breeds of dogs are welcome. Bandanas will be provided to all the dogs who show up.
