The 11th annual Red Pashmina Walk will be taking place April 24, but, rather than a large group setting as usual, it will be a "Solo" walk for the second year in a row. Proceeds from the walk go to Canadian Women For Women in Afghanistan for the education of Afghan women and their families.
Organizers from the Peterborough chapter of CW4WAfghan and Red Pashmina Inc. are asking participants to walk by themselves or in small groups of friends any time on April 24, due to the pandemic. It is an important time to be sending aid to Afghanistan, as the country faces the prospect of a Taliban return to power and the loss of women's rights. To make donations, participate in the walk, or for more information contact Daphne at 705-656-3820 or peterborough@CW4WAfghan.ca.
