This is the Official Opening of the new 2.5 km of cycling lanes on George and Water Streets between Hunter Street and Lake Street. Join the Mayor and project staff to see the project and learn about how it was developed and why. We will gather on the wide sidewalk in front of the Investors Group building on the east side of George Street just north of Sherbrooke Street.
The ceremony will begin at 12:15 p.m. and there will be a tours of the infrastructure, one on foot and one by bicycle, beginning after the ceremony. Bring your own bicycle and helmet to participate in the cycling tour.
