There is quite a bit of construction happening right now in parts of East City (and other parts of the city, of course), and some creative type(s) has filled in some of the "Danger Due To:" signs with clever punchlines. How would you finish the sentence in this summer of construction?

Habitat For Humanity Peterborough & Match Me Peterborough To Host "Singles Build Day"

Habitat for Humanity Peterborough and Match Me Peterborough have joined forces to create a fun, inspiring fundraising initiative to help those in need in the community—and bring singles together.

It's called "Singles Build Day", and the build date is Friday, August 24th from 8 a.m. to noon or noon to 4 p.m. Organizers encourage singles 35+ to sign up with an unattached single friend of the opposite sex and together raise $150 for the Habitat chapter in Peterborough, which is always looking for more donations, volunteers and applications for homes

Singles signing up on their own is also encouraged, and they need to raise $75 each.

Match Me Peterborough will be hosting a private party for all the single volunteers that night after the build at a downtown location.

It's a great chance to give back to the community, and maybe find a love match.

For more info on the event, contact Match Me's Rebecca Cooper at 705.931.4721 or email her.
