Peterborough Police Service continues to investigate a fatal collision as a 17-year-old male died early Saturday morning.
At roughly 3 a.m., officers were called to the area of North Monaghan Parkway and Dobbin Road after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a pedestrian who was struck. The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and provided first aid until first responders arrived. The 17-year-old Township of Cavan-Monaghan male was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre where he succumbed to his injuries.
The road was closed for about eight hours while the Peterborough Police Service Traffic Unit collision reconstruction unit investigated.
