iGotYa iPhone App Leads To Arrest In Peterborough

From Peterborough Police Release today...

On the 7th of January 2013 there was a neighbour dispute which escalated into a physical altercation.  Once the disturbance settled the complainant could not find their cell phone (iphone 4).

The complainant purchased a new phone and was using the icloud to sync her phone data.  The complainant observed several emails sent to her email account from her old cell phone after she lost it.

Due to having an app call “iGotYa”, which take photos of the phone user every time the password is entered incorrectly, the complainant saw the person in posession of her now stolen iphone.  The photos were of the neighbour whom the dispute was with.  Arrested for theft and posession stolen property is Jennifer Haines (32yrs) of Towerhill Road.  Haines will be attending court for her first appearance on the 14th of February 2013.
