The Big Band Day Lineup For Downtown Peterborough Is Music To Our Ears

The sounds of horns, strings and woodwind are coming to downtown Peterborough for Big Band Day 2018.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday, September 15th from noon to 4 p.m. in the Peterborough Square Courtyard at the corner of Water and Charlotte streets. (A tentative rain date is scheduled for September 29th.)

“Big Band Day is a lot of fun with some lively swing and jazz classics,” says DBIA Executive Director Terry "Mr. Downtown" Guiel. “We really wanted to bring a type of music to the downtown that you seldom hear outdoors. There’s something about hearing that big band sound live with a full compliment of musicians that you just won’t find anywhere else.”

• 12 pm — Peterborough Concert Band
• 1 pm — Knightshift
• 2 pm — The L’ll Big Band
• 3 pm — Dixie Cats
