‘Full of the Blarney’ Songs and Storytelling St. Patrick’s Day Event With Megan Murphy and Kate Suhr

Shake the winter blues and embrace the St. Paddy’s Day green with an original show of Irish themed stories and songs from storyteller Megan Murphy and singer/songwriter Kate Suhr on March 17 at the Showplace Performance Centre.

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with two shows in the Nexicom Studio at Showplace at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Suhr and Murphy will be joined by fiddlers Melissa Payne and Saskia Tomkins for the event, presented by The Verandah Society.

Tickets are $39 adults and $25 for youth, available online or by calling the box office.

St. Patrick's Day statistics.

City police conducted RIDE details through out the city from 1 pm on the 17th until 3 am on the 18th of March. In total 1,615 were checked. 1 driver was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. There were no other roadside tests administered.

Police also responded to 16 noise complaints, and several disturbances regarding people fighting. Most of the disturbances were over or parties fled on police arrival. Several people were also arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.
