Quentin Has A New Little Buddy At The Zoo From Edmonton

The Riverview Park & Zoo has welcomed a new addition.

Yao-Ming (or "Awesome"), their new yearling Sichuan takin, just arrived from the Edmonton Valley Zoo.

Now Yao-Ming just had his first meeting with Quentin Takin-tino—who came to the zoo back in 2014 from Assiniboine Park & Zoo in Winnipeg—and Yao-Ming appears to be a little nervous.

They're both kind of figuring each other out...

But the zoo tells PTBOCanada everything is going well between them so far, and we're sure they'll be besties in no time.

Heck, they're already posing for the camera (selfies could be next, and a Twitter account)...

Quentin Might Be The Most Adorable Animal Ever

[UPDATE: Jim Moloney, Manager & Curator at the Zoo, tell us Quentin has finished his quarantine and is now on exhibit!]

ORIGINAL POST:

Meet Quentin, a recent arrival to the Riverview Park & Zoo from Assiniboine Park & Zoo in Winnipeg. Quentin, a rather bashful looking guy, is a Sichuan Takin—a subspecies of takin (goat-antelope). As a new arrival, he's in quarantine as a precaution but should be out in the next two or three weeks for the public to see, the zoo tells us. Get this dude a Twitter and Instagram account so he can take selfies!
