A Peterborough Man Who Has Been Playing The Lottery 35 Years Just Won $10 Million

Peterborough's John Pirie won $10 million in the Lotto 6/49 on the weekend... $10,395,605.70, to be exact. “It’s been my weekly ritual for 35 years [to play the lottery],” Pirie says in an OLG media release. “On the way to work at 5 p.m. every Sunday night, I stop at the gas station to check my tickets.” Pirie had five tickets for Saturday’s draw—and his big win came on the last one he checked.
