Wild Country Disc Golf was recently launched in Fenelon Falls. Owners Kelly and Yvonne McShane and Denis Michaud are in their first year of operation offering a full 18 basket disc golf course at 1157 County Road 121.
It is free to play, although they do accept donations to help pay for gas to cut the grass and maintain the course. They also have the Wild Country Pro Shop on-site, selling discs, disc golf bags and accessories. Just google “Wild Country Disc Golf” for details.
With the ability to travel returning, Désirée Kretschmar decided to launch her new vacation plant care services business.
Called Plant Goals, Kretschmar offers plant sitting services in Peterborough to help people keep their houseplants happy and healthy while they are away. The service works equally well for businesses for workplace plant care and she also operates a retail and online store where you can purchase plants, arrange for a gift and more. The Rotary Club of Peterborough's annual Online Auction in support of Camp Kawartha's new environmentally-safe Medical Centre takes place April 6 - 13.
