TCS begins in Grade 5, with 100 Junior School (Grade 5-8) day students. The high school (Grade 9-12) has 480 students, 60 per cent of whom are boarding students from Canada and 40 countries around the globe.
The School’s day population hails from Durham, Northumberland and Peterborough county, adding up to 300 students across all grades. TCS offers bussing daily to Peterborough.
In Grade 5-8, the foundation of TCS’s academic program is a positive, caring and professional teacher-student relationship, combined with an understanding of the profound importance of valuing and educating the whole child. Teachers work closely with students throughout the school day – in the classroom, as coaches, in the arts, and in the realm of leadership and service learning. This foundation continues into the high school and is augmented with an ambitious offering of over 120 courses, including 20 Advanced Placement offerings.
