/The Peterborough & the Kawarthas Business Advisory Centre is gearing up for its spring intake of the highly popular, Starter Company Plus program, which is a business training program for entrepreneurs in the City and County of Peterborough.
Starter Company Plus is designed to provide business support for entrepreneurs at various levels in their business journey.
From aspiring start-ups looking to take off to businesses that have been around for five years, Starter Company Plus has valuable resources for everyone.
Twelve successful applicants will complete a five week online business training course offered by the Peterborough & the Kawarthas Business Advisory Centre (BAC).
During those five weeks participants will have the opportunity to meet with industry experts to gain insight in their business field and create a plan for success. They will also receive coaching on how to write and pitch a proper business plan.
After the five week program participants will submit their final business plan and pitch for a chance to receive one of six $5,000 microgrants.
In it’s last intake, Starter Company plus supported twelve small businesses and awarded six local small businesses $5,000 each in funding to further support sustainable business growth.
Participants launched and built businesses like a musical theatre program for children, a family farm selling locally processed meant and a professional organizing company.
