Impact Motorsports has partnered with Kawartha Downs and Event Centre to bring you Kawartha Smackdown, an exciting and family-friendly demolition derby on June 17.

Impact Motorsports is the leader in providing fast-paced, action-packed demolition derby. They bring exciting classes and events to Ontario demolition derby fans.

With the faced paced figure 8 racing, followed by a two-man team of full-size V8 cars, stock trucks and a new class called windshield class, you will be entertained from the moment the show starts until the final checkered flag drops. The day will start off with a pit party that is included in your admission.

Come down to the track and meet the drivers, get their autographs and take pictures with the cars. Once the pit party wraps up the power wheels kids will take the stage. These demolition derby trainees will power up their motorized vehicles for a fun time smashing and crashing to entertain the crowds. The derby will have drivers appearing from all over Ontario, Quebec and the United States.

This event will bring out both of Impact’s Points Champions, Kent Taylor, Figure 8 Champion as well as Jason DuPont, Derby Champion. Taylor hails from Burlington, Ont. where he along with his wife and son travelled to many shows in 2022 racking up points to take a close race to be champion.

DuPont will be travelling from Ormstown, Que. to participate. He took an early lead in the points chase and never looked back the whole season. Racking up win after win. We will also feature several father and son two-man teams hitting the track vying for their part of the prize money.

A total prize purse of $20,000 will be handed out to these drivers on June 17.

Kawartha Downs and Event Centre in partnership with Impact Motorsports will be hosting a second derby on Aug. 5. A whole new class of vehicles will be scheduled for this show. Please come out to join us at both events. In an event where Impact sets the stage, the drivers are the show.
