Peterborough Police Seeking Suspect From Monday Morning Shooting

Peterborough Police Service is searching for a suspect from a shooting early Monday morning.

At roughly 12:22 a.m., officers were called to the area of Rubidge Street and Stewart Street. Officers located the male victim with a leg injury upon arrival. He was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre before being transferred to a Toronto-area hospital for further treatment. 

An argument had broken out between the men at the time of the incident. Officers searched the area but did not locate the suspect.

The suspect was described to police as:

  • Black male

  • 5'10" – 6’

  • Stocky build (180- 200 lbs.)

  • Short corn rows

  • Thin moustache, well-groomed short beard

  • Wearing dark jeans and a black t-shirt
