After being down four goals, the Peterborough Petes almost had a comeback, losing to the Kitchener Rangers 4-3, at the Peterborough Memorial Centre on Thursday night.
The loss extends Peterborough’s losing streak to four games and have yet to win a gam in December.

They followed that up with two more goals in 1:02 late in the period from Reid Valade and Roman Schmidt to give the Rangers a 3-0 lead going into the second period.
Valade continued where he left off scoring another goal beating Simpson but what looked a spectaular save outstretching from behind his back to get it with his glove. Further review determined that the puck crossed the line for a 4-0 Kitchener lead. Peterborough attempted to rally 68 seconds later as Tucker Robertson finally got Peterborough on the board and prevent the shutout. Chase Stillman got his turn 65 seconds later and cut the deficit to two entering the third period.
Four minutes into the third, Jack Van Volsen tacked on a powerplay goal to make it a one-goal game. The Petes peppered Rangers goalie Marcus Vandenberg with 15 shots in the period but could not solve him a second time in the third.
