Fleming College Hosting Its 39th Annual Loggersports Competition This Saturday

The Fleming College Phoenix is putting their lumberjacking skills to the test. as they are hosting its 39th annual Loggersports competition this Saturday at the Lindsay Frost Campus.

Admission is free and open to anyone with opening ceremonies starting at 8 a.m. The competition begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 4:30 p.m. Events include log throwing, wood chopping, pole climbing and axe throwing.

A blasting demonstration is occuring at 1 p.m. as the competition coincides with Fleming’s Open House.

Other schools competing against Fleming are McGill, University of Toronto, Dalhousie University, Lakehead University, and Algonquin College.
