Peterborough Police Still Investigating Woodglade Boulevard Fire

Peterborough Police responded to a fire Tuesday morning around 6:30 a.m. at a Woodglade Boulevard home.

Police, firefighters and electricians were on the scene in the morning on Tuesday, blocking off Woodglade Boulevard between Ridgewood Road and Sherbrooke Street to traffic.

As a result of a police investigation, a 71-year-old man from Peterborough faces an arson charge.

No injuries were reported and the accused is in custody and set to appear in court on Tuesday.

Police, fire and the Ontario Fire Marshall continue to investigate the scene. Expect police presence for the next few days according to a police press release.

Peterborough Police are seeking the good Samaritan attempting to extinguish the fire to contact Detective Constable Mike Stephens at 705-876-1122 ext. 303.
