Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) Peterborough states King’s first task in the new role will be to create a five-year strategic plan.

“Zoe will lead the process in collaboration with the board, and we look forward to feedback from the wider Peterborough Community because everyone has a Big Brother or Big Sister story,” stated Thomas Jenkins BBBS Board Chair.

Jenkins notes King was in the process of becoming a Big Sister before she applied for the job.

“The board was also impressed with her coaching background and solid fundraising and not-for-profit leadership,” he added.

“I’m excited to take the next step in my career with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Peterborough,” King said. “I’m passionate about creating a positive impact in the community and eager to contribute to empowering youth through mentorship.”

King is leaving her role as Director of Operations at the Lakefield Animal Welfare Society (LAWS) to take the BBBS job.
