71-Year-Old Man Charged With Uttering Threats and Assault After a Parking Lot Incident

A 71-year-old Peterborough man is facing charges after an incident in a parking lot on Thursday evening.

At roughly 7:30 p.m., officers were called to a Lansdowne Street and Kawartha Heights Boulevard parking lot. Officers discovered an argument between a woman and her ex-partner where the former was verbally threatened. Police located the man and took him into custody. Further investigation revealed a physical altercation that had taken place between the pair several days prior. 

The 71-year-old Peterborough man was arrested and charged with:

  • Uttering Threats Cause Death or Bodily Harm

  • Assault cause bodily harm

The accused is held in custody and will appear in court on Friday.
