If you or someone you love has ever used the services of our hospital, you know the importance of the equipment and technology used throughout your visit. From start to finish, hospital doctors, nurses, and staff are constantly assisted by a wide range of technology that helps ensure their patient experiences the best possible care.
For moms-to-be, the equipment most often used is incredibly important to monitor both the health of the mother and her unborn baby. One of those pieces of equipment is the Electronic Fetal Monitor—vital to both moms and babies during the birthing process. Using it ensures early detection of any sign of distress during the labour process. Sounds significant right? It is.
A group of local moms are teaming up with the PRHC Foundation as the PRHC Mombassadors to help raise the funds needed to acquire a new fetal monitor for PRHC’s Labour & Delivery Unit to ensure every mom and baby is as safe as they can be during labour. These local moms have each given birth at PRHC and know the importance of what they’re working towards!
As a way to say thanks for the great care they received at PRHC, they are organizing their signature event on Thursday, May 10th at Club Aria. “Girls Night Out” will be an age of majority evening for just the ladies (sorry guys!). The night will include dancing, live entertainment, a DJ spinning serious tracks, delicious food, drinks, socializing, and more all for a great cause.
Meet some members of the squad behind this great new initiative...
