Beloved Zoo Donkey Pedro Passes Away

The Riverview Park and Zoo has announced on their Facebook page the death of its beloved male Sicilian donkey, Pedro, due to kidney failure at the age of 23.

A long-term resident of the zoo, Pedro came to the zoo in 1996 and was very popular with their visitors—especially when roaming the zoo grounds with one of the Zookeepers.

The zoo thanks thanks their staff and Dr. John Sallaway for their dedication to Pedro's care.
