Female High School Students Participating In Women In Trades Event At Fleming College

Fleming College is hosting a special Women in Trades event on Tuesday, February 28th. This event is for female students in Grades 9 to 12 who are interested in exploring careers in skilled trades.

The Women in Trades event runs from 6:15 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Fleming's Kawartha Trades and Technology Centre, Sutherland Campus (Peterborough), on February 28th. Participants will meet successful tradespeople, tour the KTTC, explore trades and apprenticeship programs and careers, and enjoy refreshments and giveaways.

There are still spots available, so those interested in attending can RSVP by emailing askus@flemingcollege.ca.

Three area school boards—Kawartha Pine Ridge District School Board, Trillium Lakelands DSB, Peterborough Victoria Northumberland and Clarington Catholic District School Board—are sponsoring this unique event, which is a great initiative to promote women in skilled trade careers.
