Peterborough Family Discovered Quite The Swarm Of Honey Bees In Their Backyard

What do you do when you find a swarm of honey bees in your backyard? Well you call a local beekeeper of course—but not before (safely) snagging pictures like homeowner Krista MacDonald did.

Here's a beekeeper locating the honey bee hive in the MacDonald hedge...

And here is the hive he found...

Beekeepers remove honey bees

Like look at this hive up close. Wow, you can almost hear them buzzing...

Not as common in the wild as they once were, when Krista and her family discovered the large group in their backyard hedge, they knew they were pretty lucky to find them.

After connecting with local beekeepers Larry and Marshall, the bees were safely removed and taken to a local apiary where they’ll be allowed to continue doing their thing creating that magical honey most of us love so so much!

Here's video footage as well...
