PTBOCanada Featured Post: Live & Local Lunches In Downtown Peterborough Are Awesome

Find yourself downtown Peterborough often? If you’re there on a Friday around noon, chances are you’ll hear music in the air.

Live and Local Lunches—a joint project between the DBIA, Peterborough Square and Gerri’s Arts and Crafts—is bringing local music to the corner of Charlotte and Water St in the Peterborough Square courtyard each and every Friday (minus Canada Day) from noon to 1 p.m. between now and August 26th!

Surrounded by more than 80 different food options within walking distance, the live weekly music is a great way to enjoy a lunch break and relax before heading into your summer weekends.

While August concerts are still to be announced, artists currently on the bill to perform over June and July include:

• June 17 - Rick and Gailie

• June 24 - Beau Dixon

• July 8 - Bailien

• July 15 - Terry Finn

• July 22 - Rob Phillips & Marsala

• July 29 - Brianna Cotton

Downtown Peterborough is the heart of our community. It includes hundreds of incredible locally owned businesses to shop, eat, drink, be entertained in, and stay in. Live and Local Lunches on Friday combine much of that in a laid back atmosphere to end off the work week. So, from now until the end of summer, plan the end of your week accordingly. With warm weather and cool music, you’ll want to be outside enjoying yourself!
