Farm to Table Culinary Tours Gearing Up For 2016 Season In The Downtown

A favourite Downtown Peterborough tourism draw is currently gearing up for another amazing season. The Farm to Table Peterborough Downtown Culinary Tour will be operating from June until September.

The weekly tour—which visit six downtown businesses each week— showcase local boutique food stores and downtown restaurants, highlighting small batch, artisan food production and local/seasonal cooking.

The tours run from 1 p.m. to about 4 p.m. each Wednesday, from June to September, leaving from the Peterborough Downtown Farmers’ Market. Each venue provides generous samples of their products—including some wine and beer samples.

“It is the chefs, restaurant owners and shop owners that make the tours shine,” says Farm to Table's Donald Fraser. “We have so many incredibly talented business people downtown. And they are all characters—all so good at capturing the attention of patrons and tour participants."
