Peterborough’s most appetizing event, Taste of Downtown, returns to Charlotte Street on June 4th from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., kicking off a jam-packed summer event season in the downtown.

This is your chance to come and sample some of the finest food in the region, with more than 18 local restaurants offering a unique culinary experience. Taste of Downtown on Charlotte Street is not just about great food, but also features some amazing shopping opportunities from the many merchants along Charlotte who will be putting on a giant sidewalk sale.

Entertainment this year will feature some great local acts as they perform in a beer and wine garden hosted by The Venue and Publican House Brewery.

This year's entertainment goes up a notch as the sounds of India come to Taste of Downtown with Bollywood, Bhangra and Rajhistani Dance from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and the sounds of Jamaica with “Bosco” performing on his steel drums from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.!

Admission is FREE for this family-friendly event, which will feature a bouncy castle and face painting. Bring enough cash to sample the great food, have a pint or buy something on sale from the many shops. You’re bound to be surprised by a restaurant you’ve probably never experienced before in a casual setting.
