An Amazing Family Created This Canine Obstacle Course For Peterborough Police Service Canine Unit

The Peterborough Police Service Canine Unit received a generous offer last year from a local citizen named Fred Comrie to use his property located outside the City as a Canine training facility.

Well that facility has now been set up, and the obstacle course on the Comrie property is an ideal spot to train Peterborough Police Service Canine units.

The obstacle course includes cement pads that vehicles are placed upon, catwalks, high fences and any other possible obstacles that the Canine Unit may encounter in a live situation.

Police say this of the Comrie family: "It is this type of community partnership that is the core of community policing and has contributed greatly to the success of the Canine Unit and the community it serves!"
