A One-Year-Old Norwood Boy Named Jonas Has The Best Toy Plane Ever

The minimum age for a pilot's license in Norwood is 1. Well, at least it is for a boy named Jonas, who just turned a year old on July 31st. His Dad, Joel Wiebe, built this as a photo prop for his photographer wife, Heather—but it has now become young Jonas's plane.

"We have a bit of an airplane theme in his room, partly because I was a bit of an airplane nut as a kid and had plenty of airplane decorations to pick from," says super dad Joel. "The plane is just made from some pieces of wood I had lying around, mostly plywood and pine."

Joel and Heather filmed a short video of Jonas taking off. How'd he MacGyver this thing to "fly"? "I mostly just pulled it around with some bailer twine and put the camera on a tripod. I also used his stroller as a camera dolly for a shot as well. My wife came out at the end and helped me with a few shots as well. I just thought, well, I have a couple hours before his next nap and it's so nice outside, so we went into our backyard and got creative."
