A Rabbit Died In Peterborough After Being Caught In An Illegal Trap
/On Sunday, July 19th, around 9:00 a.m., an Ontario SPCA Agent received a call regarding a rabbit struggling with its leg caught in an illegal leg hold trap in the area of Armour Road and Franmore Drive in the east end of Peterborough.
When the officer arrived on the scene and located the rabbit, it was in severe distress. The animal had a complete fracture of its front leg as well as wounds to its hind legs.
The animal was then brought to the Humane Society in Peterborough where it was humanely euthanized.
