Help A Peterborough Baby Named Jett #TeamJett

Engaged Peterborough couple Joshua Fitzgerald and Dawn Powers welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Jett into the world on June 22nd, weighing 9lbs, 5oz. 

Shortly after delivery, however, Jett was rushed to Sick Kids Hospital in Toronto where they found a tumor suppressing his spine. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma.

Baby Jett had his first bout of chemo treatment there two days later...

Jett is a fighter—he's been on a breathing machine to help his lungs—and his parents and friends and family are staying strong for him and praying for him during his fight to beat this tumor.

Jett will be at Sick Kids for a long time during his battle, and the associated costs in travel and accommodation will add up for his family.

A benefit for the family to help with costs has been set up by friends, and takes place on Saturday, July 11th at The Junction in downtown Peterborough from 6 pm to midnight. There will be a silent auction, games, and much more.
