The Awesome Warsaw Fire Hall Park Has Officially Opened

It was a special day in Warsaw on Monday (October 5th) as dignitaries gathered for a special community announcement.

MPP Jeff Leal, Douro-Dummer Township Mayor J. Murray Jones, Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer Dr. Ramesh Makhija, Manager of Recreation Facilities Brian Millett and the Warsaw Fire Hall Park Committee officially opened the new Warsaw Fire Hall Park.

The project received a $7,200 grant from the Ontario Trillium Foundation in 2014, raised $11,000 from community sponsors, and received the rest from the Municipality.

A small group of community members, staff and members of Council have done an amazing job working towards the replacement of the playground equipment at the Warsaw Fire Hall Park, making it more accessible for local children.

“This project is another example of how working together can accomplish anything—council, the province and our dedicated volunteers were very much in the 'swing' of things," says Mayor J. Murray Jones.
