Police Warning Public After Students Were Offered Ride By Man In Parked Van

From a police media release today (June 5th)...

On June 4th, 2014 three public school students were walking to school.  They were in the area of Forrester Avenue and Pinewood Drive.  As they approached a parked van they students were offered a ride and declined.  Once at the school the incident was reported to their principle.
 
The van is described as a black Dodge Caravan, older model, with a bike rack and bike mounted on the rear with lightly tinted windows.  The sole male occupant of the vehicle is described as white, light sunburn to his face, 50 to 60 years of age, grey short hair, unshaven and heavy set.  Police are asking anyone with information regarding the van or its occupant to call police at 705-876-1122 or crimestoppers at 1-888-222-TIPS (8477).
