The Peterborough Petes are pleased to announce that 155 Operation Christmas Child shoeboxes were collected at the Peterborough Memorial Centre between November 6 and 20. Fans were encouraged to pick up shoeboxes from the Samaritan’s Purse booth at the Petes’ home game on November 6 against North Bay.

Since then, members of the community have stepped up to give more than 150 children around the world another reason to enjoy the holidays. The shoeboxes will be sent to underprivileged children in Africa and South America through the international aid organization Samaritan's Purse.
