Today In Your Local Crime Report: One Man Busted For Graffiti Spraying, Another For Bear Spraying

Male charged with mischief.
 
On the 8th of August at approximately 930 pm a security guard working at the construction zone for the Hunter Street bridge observed a suspicious male inside the fenced compound under the bridge.  Further investigation revealed the male was spray painting graffiti on the concrete under the bridge.  The male was arrested and police were notified.  Charged with mischief under $5,000 and trespassing is Drew Glenn, 23 years old of Aylmer St.  He was released with a court date of the 25th of August 2011.

Male arrested for robbery.
 
On the 7th of August a group of individuals known to each were at a residence on Bethune Street.  For reasons unknown, one of the males produced a can of bear spray and confronted the others for money.  Some money was obtained and one of the individuals was sprayed with the bear spray.  Police were notified and attended, but the suspect had left the residence.  On the 9th of August the suspect turned himself in to police.  Kenneth Ryan Vilneff, 21 years old of Stewart Street, has been charged with robbery, assault with a weapon and assault.  He attended court on the 9th of August for a bail hearing.
