Teenager's Attempted Robbery At Mister Convenience Store Yesterday Foiled By Female Clerk With Golf Club

Young Offender Arrested for Robbery
 
On the 12th of November 2011 a 16 year old male attended Mister Convenience Store on McDonnel Street wearing dark clothing and bandana to cover his face.  This male proceeded behind the counter demanding the clerk to open the cash drawer.  The female clerk fearing for her safety picked up a golf club to protect herself.  This action caused the robber to leave without any property or cash.  A couple sitting in their vehicle saw the robber flee and they proceeded to follow while calling 911.  Police caught up with the robber on Donegal Street where he was arrested.  The accused is held in custody for bail on the 13th of November 2011 on the charges of Robbery with Intent and Disguise with Intent.  The accused can not be named under the YCJA.
