Arguably one of the most recognized brands in the industry, our local Century 21 was established by Carl in 1978 as Century 21 Carl Oake Realty, later becoming what we all know as Century 21 United Realty in 1999 after a merger with Century 21 Gray-Munro.

Now, after almost 40 years at the helm of the company, it was announced that Carl’s daughter Vanessa Oake Hogan would transition into the ownership role over the coming years—a transition which actually began in Fall 2016.
Although the face behind the brand might be changing, the goals and direction of the brokerage remain steadfastly the same. They have always been a full-service brokerage and will continue in that direction, striving to bring as many tools and resources as possible to their sales representatives to help them succeed.

While numbers of sales and closing prices help accelerate a business such as real estate, it’s ultimately well-educated and equipped agents who help steer it in the right direction and keep it on course. Century 21 United Realty aims to continue providing value to its agents, being progressive with technology and staying ahead of the curve with their best practices.
To continue in this direction, agents have access at all times to a non-selling management team—a huge advantage to their sales representatives. It’s assistance like this that Vanessa Oake Hogan hopes will further push the brokerage towards an even brighter future while keeping the foundation her father created in place.

As global as Century 21 has become, the local office has stayed true to its local roots and continues to be very involved in the community. The Rotary Carl Oake Swimathon just completed its 31st year in town. To date, it has raised over $1 million for Easter Seals and various local Rotary Projects. That’s a lot of laps!
