Odin & Melissa's Love Note To Peterborough

You know that epic birthday Peterborough threw for Odin last Friday (March 20th) that went viral around the world?

Well Melissa wrote in to us with what is, in effect, a love letter from her and Odin to Peterborough. Here are excerpts...

"Peterborough is such a unique city. When I was a young single mom here in town, I felt supported and loved. When I was a single mom struggling with a toddler who was 'different', I felt the support and love."

"It is no different now. The city has always amazed me, the caring and support shown to one another. We have left a few times, to go where life has taken us, but we always come back."

"I may not be born and raised here, but Odin has been, and we have never felt more at home anywhere. This is HOME. And, for good reason."

"I am not sure how I can truly articulate how this feels for us, and how good it feels to spread the message of Aspergers, to hopefully help other kids like Odin."

***Oh, and GET THIS ---->>>> Melissa also tells PTBOCanada that Odin will be raising the Autism flag on April 2 at City Hall for World Autism Awarness Day.

"He is so proud to do so, because people have shown him that he can be different and it's okay, because others are too. That, in itself, is amazing."

Peterborough, you are beautiful. Keep making a difference. Community.
