Dean Brody, recipient of 16 Canadian Country Music Awards, 2 Juno Awards and the Jeff Walker Global country Artist of the Year Award presented by the Country Music Association in 2018. His songwriting skills and his deep, pure vocal style has ultimately rocketed him to “country music superstar” status.
A humanitarian, Dean Brody created the Dean Brody Foundation to rescue and prevent young girls being exploited in child prostitution and human trafficking in Brazil and around the world. This aligns so well with the work Women’s Resources does with victims of human trafficking – many seeking safety and support at Victoria’s Shelter.
His upcoming acoustic show at The Academy Theatre will be compelling and intimate, showcasing Brody’s depth as a songwriter and his ability to bring storytelling to the forefront of country music.
