Come out to Nichols Oval Park on November 2, 2024 and help support participants in the 22km rucksack (military term for backpack) march. Members of our First Responders, Military Veteran community, along with civilian members will be participating in a 22km ruckmarch in support of Wounded Warriors Canada , https://woundedwarriors.ca/ a nationally recognized organization providing resources and support for our men and women in uniform, along with their families.
This will be the 3rd Annual event here in Peterborough, with participants stepping off from Confederation Square (across from City Hall) at 9am, making their way through downtown, crossing over into East City, and eventually ended up at Nichols Oval Park where they will complete loops of the 1km paved drive until they reach the 22km distance. The Peterborough Rugby Clubhouse will be open, serving snacks and beverages to supporters, along with the Till Death BBQ food truck, which will also be on site providing their amazing food! Participants will arrive to Nichols Oval Park to start their laps between 10:30am and 11am, so be sure to come down and show your support!
