Peterborough VegWeek

The organizers of Peterborough VegFest, a large scale festival usually held in mid-September, are instead introducing a new event this fall: Peterborough VegWeek, taking place from September 14th-20th. Instead of drawing big crowds to Millenium Park in 2020, the organization has been cooking up an alternative event to support and celebrate the Vegan and Vegetarian community, while preserving everyone’s health and safety.

The new week-long event will primarily be focused on promoting and amplifying the many amazing local businesses that offer Veg-friendly food and products. Area businesses are being encouraged to take part by featuring special menu items (or products), holding small events, and taking part in promotions to celebrate the week. Also on offer will be virtual programming and activities, delivered via social media. Small (and distanced) in-person events for the community will be held, too. For more information, or to take part, visit www.ptbovegfest.ca. Peterborough VegFest is supported by Downtown Peterborough and a Community Grant from The City of Peterborough.

Peterborough VegFest looks forward to returning to a festival format as soon as possible, as part of their mission to celebrate the health, environmental, and ethical benefits of a delicious plant-based lifestyle.
