Dandelion Day Festival

You're invited to the 5th Annual Dandelion Day Festival
Celebrating Healthy Lifestyles and Local Prosperity
Sunday, May 26th, 2019
Millennium Park, Peterborough
Free Admission

This year will include a Dandelion Village Marketplace,
where the Dandelion Day vendors and practitioners are sharing space inside the big tent and out on the grounds. Have a look around, talk to the skilled natural health practitioners and wellness providers of our community. They’re offering mini sessions in many different modalities, a wide variety of natural health products for sale, and of course, everything is locally sourced! Our vendors are people that care about you and their community, they all love what they do and can’t wait to introduce themselves to you. Search out information, new contacts and beautiful natural products for your family’s better health!

Dandelion Café and Local Food Vendors
Come taste the fantastic food brought to you by our local food vendors and caterers. Enjoy a great food experience whether it’s something delicious to enjoy at the festival or something to take home from local food vendors including Lunar Rhythm Gardens. Taste the fresh bread, maple syrup, fruits, vegetables, salad greens, and so much more. Bring your reusable bags to carry your treats home!

Sun Stage Entertainment:
Throughout the day you’ll enjoy the music of local musicians from our Sun Stage! Sing along, dance along or play along. Have a good time! Winter is gone and the dandelions are out! Wear yellow it's the enduring colour of our festival.

Children’s Activity Wall:
This is a family event and we have some great activities for kids of all ages. Active kids are healthy kids and we want to know how you do it! Write your favourite activity on the wall, take a selfie and post it online! Challenge your friends to get active too!

Healthy Living Demos:
We will be presenting a series of interactive healthy living workshops and demos designed to bring you new information and experiences throughout the day. A full listing will be provided the day of the event. Join in a discussion, learn something you’ve never thought of before and share your time with like-minded others.

Kawartha Loon is the Official Festival currency:
Transition Town Peterborough created the Kawartha Loon Exchange and introduced the Kawartha Loon to local businesses as a powerful initiative to drive our own local economy. All vendors and practitioners of the Dandelion Day Festival are members of the KLE and have committed to trading exclusively in Kawartha Loons on this day.
